What is the difference between a sleeping pad and a mattress? Do I need both?

Hello! The difference between the 2 products is the thickness of the pad. The SylvanSport sleeping pad is a 2" self-inflating camping mattress and the Cloud Layer Mattress is a 4" self-inflating foam and air camping mattress. In order to fully cover the surphase of the SylvanSport GO, you will need 2 large pads or mattress and 2 small pads of mattresses.
