Hello! The LOFT rooftop top tent is not designed to carry a solar panel on the roof during transport. However, it is relatively flat so you could secure a panel on the roof while you are camping for example. We don't have any dealer in CA but you can purchase directly from SylvanSport and we can arrange for you to view a TraiLOFT locally.
