Hello! If the boat is centered, you will not need a tongue extension for a 13' boat. However, you will need a tongue extension for a 16' boat.
Do I need tongue extension for 13 foot kayak? Is a 16 foot canoe too long to safely use on GO even w/extension? GO Tongue Extension Kit
